Currently sitting here the length of several small European countries away from Louisville, KY’s Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen, and all I can think of is their Chocolate-Covered Cherry Pie.
I know it’s July 4th, and we should all be thinking of apple pie for some reason, but all I can imagine is this, which I haven’t had for almost a year:
A plate like that can only inspire deepest love or utter revulsion, but it’s undoubtedly Kentucky in every way. All that’s missing is the sweet tea and bacon grease.
In all seriousness, they do have more conservative options. If you’re in town and you’ve got a sweet tooth, by all means go. It’s a swell little place on Bardstown Road, it’s open really late, and it’s almost always hopping.
