Translation

After an M.A. in French and many years studying writing in both French and my native English, translation has become something I truly enjoy. I translate texts whenever opportunities arise.

Over the last few years, I’ve translated late 18th and early 19th century letters, pamphlets, short books, and other interesting genealogical documents from French to English.  A few samples of my work follow:

  • Flight of a Suspect
One of several booklets and documents translated from French to English for Lew Toulmin in 2008-2009.
  • The Encyclopedia of Diderot & D’Alembert Collaborative Translation Project
    Entries: The Ohio, Werewolf
(Links forthcoming when translated entries are posted by the editors)
  • “Etre à la hauteur” // “To Be Up to the Task” – personal translation of song lyrics

If you would like to solicit my translation services, don’t hesitate to ask.
